THEstinker speaks CUTE too!

I can't wait to see if Santa brings me my new video camera for Christmas! If he does, then I will be able to save videos easily to my computer because I plan on taping THEstinker for the world to see how cute he is (I'm not biased:).

Soon, the world will see him sing his ABC's and other assorted adorable-sounding songs, say "break your ankle" (that's a favorite around here), and probably see him perform some really advanced dance moves while saying things like "naked party" and "shake your booty". And just maybe when I post, I will tell the stories behind these CUTE THEstinker sayings. So stay tuned!

Until then....

SPIDERman's Hatch Day

SPIDERman from the backseat today: "Mommy, when did I hatch?" Ok, too much Miss Spider's Sunny Patch for him!

Is it normal for a 4 year-old to ask so many questions and so many questions that are getting deeper? Not only did he ask me when he hatched, when I told him he "hatched" on his birthday and that he didn't really hatch, he asked how exactly he got out of my belly. I told him we went to the hospital and the doctor helped me get him out. And he said, "Mommy, tell me more of how it happened." Anyone know a good book out there about this???:)

Jesus Price

SPIDERman has his Christmas program at school tomorrow. I think they must be practicing alot because he seems to have the song "Go Tell it on the Mountain" stuck in his head. After one of the hundredth times he was singing it, I joined in and at first he was impressed that I knew the same song as him. Until I got some of the words wrong. When we got to the end of the song where it says to go tell it on the mountain that "Jesus Christ is born!" he tells me "Mommy, it's not Jesus Christ, it's Jesus Price!" Price just happens to be THEstinker's middle name and apparently Jesus' too:)

Mommie Dearest

I wanted to elaborate on why I am thankful for my mom. She is kooky, but she is so much more.

P rotecting - I always feel safe when I am around my mom. I remember feeling like that growing up too.

A dvice-giver - And sometimes I even ask for it!:) But she has given me good advice in the past and I do like to hear her opinion, even if mine is different and I listen to myself instead of her:)

T rusting in me - My mom always has had trust in me.

R ight-brained - Did you know the only people in their right minds are left-handed?

I s a good listener - My old roommate and my husband (then-boyfriend) used to make fun of me for how often I talked to my mom on the phone.

C aring - Of course she is, she's a mother! She has cared for me my whole life, and put our needs before hers many many times growing up. I hope I can follow her lead for my kids.

I s funny - Even though she thinks she doesn't have a sense of humor:) Mine can't all come from my dad!

A + Mom - Had to throw one in there reminiscent of my younger days. I bet my mom has one of these name things I gave her about 20 years ago:)

I love you, Mommie Dearest! I hope you know that.

Thankful Thanksgiving Thursday - a week late :)

In honor of the holiday, I would like to post a couple things I am thankful for right now.

-The awesome people in my life.

--FIREman - For the reasons, see my last post:)
--SPIDERman - He is my dream come true and he is such a great kid (most of the time:).
--THEstinker - He is my second dream come true and he is such a stinker! But he is the most adorable stinker I have ever seen.
--My sister - She is the best sis 'n' the whole world and she is always there for me no matter how many times I call her in one day.
--My mom - She is a little kooky but I love her:)
--My in-laws - How can anyone not stand their in-laws? :) But seriously, I have a wonderful mother-in-law and father-in-law who love their grandsons and for some reason seem to love me!
--My friend C. - She is one of my best friends and she comes from one of the most awesomely giving families I have ever met and she has been there for me too many times to count - I am just waiting to somehow repay the favors! :)
--My friend T. She has been one of my best friends since high school and still is, whether she's off moving to another city/state (but now she's here, yay!), being my workout buddy or we're just having coffee (not) and catching up.
--God - well, he's not really a person but you know what I mean!
--And I am thankful to others that I did not mention but will in future posts!

-My jobs - especially my #1 job titled "Mom". But I am also really thankful for my job as a medical transcriptionist that allows me to work at home on my own hours!

Our 6!!!!!!!!!!!!! Year Anniversary!

FIREman and I have been married for 6 years today! I can't believe it. I thought I would celebrate by listing things I love about my hubby (in no particular order):

1. He makes me laugh.
2. He makes me laugh at myself.
3. He is the best father I have ever seen. He is loving and consistent and helps me be a better mother. He loves doing things as a family.
4. He takes awesome care of me when I'm sick including entertaining the children for hours on end and letting me stay in bed while bring me chicken soup/gatorade/medicine/etc.
5. He is a hero literally. He is passionate about his job and loves helping people and "saving lives". 6. He will catch a lizard, frog, salamander (I'll never forget that one, honey) if it gets in our house and makes me watch while he lets it go outside because he knows I have to see it to believe it's gone. And we compliment each other because I can kill a roach and he can't (not that we have many of those! Thank goodness - he would move out).
7. He's a hottie!

I LOVE YOU FIREMAN!

My Silly Smart Supercute SPIDERman

SPIDERman had been running all over the house doing superhero feats like picking up toys and shoes, just being a regular superhero and helping us as long as we called him SPIDERman. Then our dog threw up.

SPIDERman: "I want SPIDERman to help, but I don't do throw up."

Not Me Monday!

I DID NOT go to Ikea 2 days in a row on a weekend when it's most busy! And DID NOT dream about how good many of the awesome things would look in my new house. If I had one.

I DID NOT wear the same pants 2 days in a row to Ikea. Hey I only wore them for a few hours the first day!

I DID NOT wake up on Saturday and it was hot and then wake up on Sunday and it was cold!!! Well, cold for Florida anyway.

I DID NOT once again post this on Sunday.

SPIDERman Says

Will all my posts be SPIDERman says? Does anything else go on in my house? He is just so entertaining.

SPIDERman to me not 2 minutes ago: "Mommy, how do we get another baby?"

SPIDERman Says II

A very thoughtful SPIDERman: "Mommy, when I get married, are you going to live with me?"

Me: "Not if your wife can help it." Just kidding, I really said "No, you will live with your wife."

SPIDERman: "But I want to still live with you when I get married." And he was really upset about this. "I want to live in our house with our family."

Me: "You can live with us as long as you want." (hope I don't regret this if he's 30 and still living with us). Then, "stop worrying about this, you're 4, just worry about being our little boy." Big hugs and kisses. He is so precious and he melted my heart with this!

SPIDERman Says

At the grocery store today.

notsoSUPERmom to SPIDERman: "Do you want to get some celery?"

SPIDERman: "I don't like celery."

notsoSUPERmom: "Why not?" (He used to beg for celery and dip!)

SPIDERman: "Because that's how Jesus made me."

Stellan is alive!

Actually, he has been since last Wednesday and they could not find anything wrong with him! He is home now with his mom, dad, and 3 older brothers and sister. Check out MckMama's blog to see pictures.

Payback

At least I think my mom would call it payback. I did get an award for asking the most questions at camp when I was 13.

SPIDERman from the backseat while we're driving home from work: "Mommy, is driving fun?"

Me: "I used to think driving was fun when I was younger."

SPIDERman: "Well, do you think it's fun now?"

Me: "Sometimes it's fun."

SPIDERman: "Is it fun today?"

Oh, the joys of an inquisitive and particular 4 year-old!

Not Not Me Monday...

I DID NOT not post a Not Me Monday after being so into it the past two weeks. Oops.

Anyways another Precious Moment to report:

I was drying THEstinker's hair off after his bath with a red towel and SPIDERman says "He looks like Little Red Hiding Hood!" He didn't know why I was laughing so hard but it was so cute!

Speaking of cute...

Not Me! Monday - Take two!

CHECK OUT MCKMAMA'S BLOG - click above or to the right

I DID NOT eat a candy corn on my computer desk that has been there for at least 2 weeks (that's the last time we bought it).

I DID NOT drink 4 large Diet Pepsi's during the day on Saturday which did NOT cause me to stay up til after midnight Saturday and wake up before 6 am since I hardly ever drink caffeine.

I DID NOT wake up before 6 am on a morning when the kids spent the night at Grandpa's therefore I could have slept in at least til 9!

I DID NOT let my 4 year-old eat FOUR popsicles today because he remembered his manners each time and asked so politely.

I DID NOT have just as much fun as my son at his friend's 5th birthday party at Monkey Joe's! I love those slides! Even though Monkey Joe is kind of crazy-looking, what kind of monkey is that tall and skinny? and purple?

Precious Moments

After I put SPIDERman to bed, I walked by THEstinker's room and this is what I heard coming from his crib: "E-I, E-I, Quack! Quack!" So adorable!

Not that anyone reads my blog, but can you guess what song he was singing in his own words?...

Dinner Popsicles

My kids love popsicles. They have one every night in the bathtub - hey easier clean-up! Even my 21 month-old can say popsicle although it's more like "postible". So I decided to make dinner popsicles tonight. Check them out!

SPIDERman loved the idea and eating them, THEstinker was not as crazy about them but he still ate it. I thought they were beautiful!

Not Me! Monday

CHECK OUT MCKMAMA'S BLOG - click above or to the right

I DID NOT smell THEstinker's swim diaper after his (10 minute) swim lesson to see if it smelled like pee or if it could be dried out and used for the next day's lesson. That would be gross!

I DID NOT let my kids stay at a family party until 10:00 PM!!!! If you know me, you know I would never do this because a regular bed time is important!

I DID NOT go through the drive-through at McDonald's and not order myself anything because I am trying to lose weight and then proceed to finish off what they didn't eat of their happy meals!

I DID NOT go to the party store to buy a specific costume, Venom, the black costume since he already has the red one, for SPIDERman and come home with 3 costumes instead. And I most certainly DID NOT justify buying the extra 2 by claiming that I cannot ever find dress-up clothes for boys, only girls, and the ninja was only $5!

And said Venom costume did not put body-builder muscles on my 4 year-old!

My husband DID NOT tease me by holding a frog in my face and saying "Say hi to your friend" and I DID NOT scream at the top of my lungs and probably scare the neighbors. Not me. And I was not still laughing at myself 10 minutes later and SPIDERman did not ask me so adorably "Mommy, are you still laughing at yourself?"

I AM NOT supposed to be in bed right now instead of on the computer and I DID NOT thoroughly enjoy creating my first NOT ME post!

The same old shoes

SPIDERman came up to me this morning after he "surprised" me by getting his shoes on without being asked. He said that his friend Tyler at school always laughs at his shoes and says he wears the same ones every day. I said, "Well, would you like to change your shoes?" And he said "No, Mommy, I want to make him laugh again". I hope he keeps this self-confidence!

The importance of the game

SPIDERman almost tripped and fell today and the first thing out of his mouth was "Mommy, I tripped and I saved my game" (his handheld Leapster) "with one hand!" he added.

The boys

This is why he IS SPIDERman...

THEstinker's 1st day of school

Wednesday was THEstinker's first day of school. Ok, so it's Mom's Morning Out but our baby went to school! Of course, we knew he was going to miss us and not want us to leave him. Well, we'll just call him "the boy who didn't look back". He saw the toys and walked right in and started playing. FIREman had to beg for a kiss goodbye.

I am married to the FOTY

SPIDERman loves his cousins!
